According to a new bombshell whistleblower report summarized in a letter sent to House and Senate lawmakers on Wednesday, the Biden Administration may be intentionally mishandling investigations into Hunter Biden.
The letter was sent to GOP chairs and ranking members on all major committees by Mark Lytle —attorney to the whistleblower who is being described as an IRS criminal supervisory special agent.
“Despite serious risks of retaliation, my client is offering to provide you with information necessary to exercise your constitutional oversight function and wishes to make the disclosures in a nonpartisan manner to the leadership of the relevant committees on both sides of the political aisle,” Lytle said.
According to Fox News, “Lytle informed lawmakers that his client has ‘already made protected disclosures internally at the IRS, through counsel to the U.S. Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration, and to the Department of Justice, Office of Inspector General.’”
“Lytle said the protected disclosures ‘contradict sworn testimony to Congress by a senior political appointee’ and involve ‘failure to mitigate clear conflicts of interest in the ultimate disposition of the case.’”
The Biden Administration wasted no time attempting to squash the story, with press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre saying that President Biden is “confident his attorney general has upheld all the ethical obligations” in the Hunter Biden investigation.
Team Biden also rolled out spokesman Ian Sams.
“Since he took office and consistent with his campaign promise that he would restore the independence of the Justice Department when it comes to decision-making in criminal investigations, President Biden has made clear that this matter would be handled independently by the Justice Department, under the leadership of a U.S. Attorney appointed by former President Trump, free from any political interference by the White House,” White House spokesman Ian Sams told Fox News Digital on Thursday.
“He has upheld that commitment,” he added.
We’ll hear what the whistleblower has to say if you don’t mind, Mr. Sams.
