The Drill Down podcast is proud to announce that we are now part of the Geeks of Doom podcast network! You can find all of our future episodes here on Geeks of Doom. We’ve also updated our iTunes link, so please grab the new iTunes feed and subscribe (and rate us)!
The Drill Down is undergoing retooling in order to continue to bring you the best tech podcast on the ‘net. One of these changes is a return to our roots, as we go back to a shorter, easier-to-digest, pre-recorded format. We’ll still be here every week, but now more than ever, it’s important to subscribe to us on iTunes so you never miss an episode. Thanks for your patience and understanding, and stay tuned to The Drill Down for some exciting changes in the weeks to come!
The Drill Down team are, frankly, exhausted from the holidays and are taking a break this week to recharge our lithiums and come back refreshed. Expect us back next week, however, and stay tuned for our annual year-end best-tech-stories-of-the-year episode. See you next week, and HEY, quit trying to look up our skirt!
The Drill Down podcast is giving away three sets of Buckyballs, the amazing magnetic desk toy, and all you need to do is test your knowledge of The Drill Down podcast. For the next three weeks we’ll ask a question relating to The Drill Down here on this page. The first person to send the correct answer to email@example.com with Buckyballs in the subject line will win their very own Buckyballs set. Please include your name and address in the email, so we know where to send your prize.
What can you do with Buckyballs? Just about anything you can imagine. Take a look:
We have never begged a guest to be on our show before. There are so many interesting social media people out there that finding guests is possibly the easiest aspect of doing the show.
This week, we’re changing things. I, JD Rucker, am BEGGING Kevin Rose to be our guest on either The Drill Down Wednesday night at 6:30pm Pacific or the Social Blade Show Thursday at 7:00pm Pacific.
So that it’s easier to fit into your (obviously) busy schedule, we are opening it up to either show… or BOTH! Your appearance on TWiT was nice, but we would like to ask some more challenging and perhaps better-informed questions than what Mr. Laporte was able to pose.
Simply Tweet to @MrBabyMan or @0boy and let us know which you can make.
The Drill Down podcast is moving to Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm Pacific. Join Andrew Sorcini, Muhammad Saleem, JD Rucker and Tom Cheredar for informed and spirited panel discussion of the week’s tech news. Can’t remember the time change? Just subscribe to our RSS feed and on iTunes, or sign up for SMS alerts when we’re live on UStream, and let us remember for you! Don’t forget to add us on Twitter!
