Three Selfies Accessories You Didn’t Know Existed

The following is a guest post.

Selfies are becoming an increasingly popular force throughout the world, dominating social media channels. Statistics state selfies are predominantly used by people aged from 18-24 with apps such as Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook and Twitter being the main output.

It seems as though the term selfie has been used forever, but it was only in 2013 when it was officially added to Oxford Dictionaries. Not to mention the countless celebrity selfies we have had from various different events and it has even been included in Time magazines “Top 10 buzzwords” of 2012. The progression of the word ‘selfie’ has seen development of selfie sticks and even the Zuckerberg Selfie Stick.

The selfie craze is only beginning and we take a look into three selfie accessories you didn’t know existed!

Selfie sling

The Selfie Sling

Sling, or the selfie sling is another accessory to come from the selfie craze. It is designed to stick at the back of your handset and that is it. Originally, the sling was created to avoid people from dropping their mobiles and as a device to hold your handset comfortably whilst using it. However, now that your hands are comfortable you can now use it to… well take a well-positioned selfie.

A Stand For Your Selfie

A stand for your selfie may seem a ridiculously simple concept, but it is growing in popularity. A stand designed to add height, or allow you to place your device in the best location for your selfie needs. An adjustable grip means your selfies are now destined for greatness. Well as a great as a standard selfie can be.

Selfie Stick 2.0

Yes you have read that right. There is an upgrade to the original selfie stick ready and available. Selfie sticks now have a roller ball, giving you a rotatable 360 view. Not only do you have a rotatable ball on your selfie stick, there is USB rechargeable Bluetooth button. All of that just for a selfie seems absolutely crazy, but again simple things such as rechargeable Bluetooth buttons have changed the selfie game.
