Hey guys. Great debate of my post about VVM on Digg.

One point that I think was missed was how this effects Village Voice Media’s advertisers. While using Digg really well isn’t a problem, when driving from national and international visitors to what are portrayed to be local sites where ads from local advertisers are served up is where this becomes a problem. For example, here’s an example of a story Keith submitted for his Houston property that drives Digg users to ads for Houston restaurants.

Why is VVM serving ads for Houston restaurants to a national audience of Digg users?

So, it’s not the traffic but who’s money they’re using to monetize the traffic that’s the bigger issue.

“‘Bale became a hero to cast and crew after his tirade against Hurlbut, who was widely despised, sources tell RadarOnline.com exclusively. Hurlbut was a condescending (bleep) to everyone,’ a source told us. His favorite line was ‘Why don’t you go stab yourself in the head, you idiot.’ Maybe Bale’s not such a bad guy after all.”
